1963 Conn 8B Artist Model Trumpet
Serial Number - C18XXX
Small Bore - .438”

The Conn 8B Artist is arguably one of the most famous and rare vintage Conn’s. This is the horn made famous by Freddie Hubbard during his CTI recordings. Other famous Jazz players of the 60’s favored this instrument as well. I believe it is best described as a better behaving Connstellation 36B. This early version of the horn has incredible response, a luscious and thick sound, and fantastic playability across all registers. If you are a Connstellation fan you will love this Lightweight Artist Model trumpet. This horn was purchased from one of the best trumpet shops in the world, Josh Landress Brass. It has a PVA from the shop and is ready to go for the next player. I have owned a few of these in the past and this is by far the best playing example and in the best condition. This horn is in raw brass and overall is in excellent condition.
