1976 Bach Stradivarius Model 37

Here is a fantastic example of an Elkhart 37. This horn has a TON of Bach core to the sound and this particular bell is super lively. This was a closet find and we are excited to get this horn in good playing condition again! Horn is in raw brass and there is some very minor pitting where the horn was stored in a case for a lengthy period of time. We DID NOT apply a brushed finish which people often do to hide the pitting. These Elkhart horns are special and have some of the designs of the early Elkhart horns and also some of the transitional queues of the later 180’s. This horn has the early Elkhart finger hook, two piece valve casing, metal valve guides, and wide bracing but the heavier bottom seam bell of the later 180’s. This provides that classic Bach sound that can really shine in all settings. The horn is cleaned and ready to go and also has a Precision Valve Alignment.

    • Minor pitting where horn was stored in case for a long time

    • Bell rim is excellent with no signs of trauma or repair

    • All lacquer removed - horn is raw brass and was not overly buffed

  • Cleaned using materials that are safe for humans and brass alike

    • Assembled using synthetic and non toxic valve oil and slide grease
